
Aaron Ellison worked as Senior Research Fellow in Ecology at Harvard University and served as Deputy Director of the Harvard Forest, where he studied for twenty years until retiring in 2021. He has authored or co-authored more than 100 scientific papers, dozens of book reviews and software reviews, and many books including A Primer of Ecological Statistics (2004), A Field Guide to the Ants of New England (2012), and Carnivorous Plants: Physiology, Ecology, and Evolution (2018). Ellison also maintains an art studio dedicated to woodworking, photography, and poetry.
