
Jane Hirshfield’s ten poetry collections include The Asking: New and Selected Poems (2023), The Beauty (2015), and Come, Thief (2011). Other works include two essay collections and four books co-translating world poets of the past. Her work appears in The New Yorker, The Atlantic, and eight editions of The Best American Poems. Hirshfield served as Chancellor of the Academy of American Poets and in 2019 was inducted into the American Academy of Arts & Sciences.
