Maya Jewell Zeller grew up in rural areas of the Pacific Northwest. She is the author of Rust Fish, a collection of poetry from Lost Horse Press. Her nonfiction and poetry appear in Pleiades, West Branch, Cincinnati Review, and elsewhere. Maya lives in Spokane with her husband and two small children.
