Robert Michael Pyle

Robert Michael Pyle was the first Andrews Forest Resident. An independent scholar, biologist, and writer, he lives along a tributary of the Lower Columbia. His books include Wintergreen, The Thunder Tree, Where Bigfoot Walks, Walking the High Ridge, and Mariposa Road, as well as the novel Magdalena Mountain, three collections of poetry, and a flight of butterfly books. He is an Honorary Life Fellow of the Royal Entomological Society and the founder of the Xerces Society for Invertebrate Conservation.
